Where flat roofs fail

A flat roof has a slight fall so rain runs off to a gutter or outlet. When the deck underneath sags, water sits in puddles instead, and the covering breaks down fastest where it stays wet.

Old felt roofs also crack and blister in the sun, and the edges and the joint against the house wall are common places for leaks to start.

Signs your flat roof needs attention
