What your roofline does

The fascia is the board along the bottom edge of the roof that the gutter is fixed to. The soffit closes the gap underneath it, and on a gable the bargeboard does the same job up the slope.

When old timber boards rot, the gutter sags, joints open and water runs down the brickwork instead of into the downpipe. PVC boards don't rot or need painting, which is why most homes have changed over to them.

Green or black streaks down the wall under a joint

Colours and finishes

White is the usual choice, and black, grey and woodgrain finishes are available too. We'll match the gutters to the boards and to the windows, so the front of the house looks finished.
