Lymm, Thelwall, Walton and the borough's other conservation areas

Warrington Borough Council publishes a guidance leaflet for each of the borough's 16 conservation areas. Besides the town-centre streets around Palmyra Square, Bridge Street and the Town Hall, they take in Lymm, Thelwall Village, Walton Village, Grappenhall Village, Stockton Heath and Culcheth.

For homes that are listed or inside one of those areas, the council points owners to Historic England's advice on maintaining, repairing and altering an older house. It's worth reading before a re-roof that changes the tiles or slates.
